Palazzo Pretorio was built from th 13th century in red bricks. The part in white stoe is from late-Gothic era. In the 16th century an external staircase and watch were added. Underground Station : COMUNE

Museo Pecci of Contemporary Art is the first thing you can see entering Prato from the highway A11. Now it's in refurbishment (look at the crane), but outside there are many masterpieces that are waitin' for its reopening...

Air conditioning is important


It's a long long time that in Italy everyone has installed at home or in office the conditioning system, to escape from the terrible summer heat. You can see that in this facade in Piazza Mercatale. Very ugly but necessary.

Madonna de' Berti crossing


Innumerable crashes are happened in this crossing, named "alla Madonna de' Berti" , by the name of a medieval affresco (on the left corner, outside the picture) painted by, I think, "il Berti". The city administration put here also the terrible Photored (you can see it), to discourage mad drivers pass with the red signal.
